JSPL extends its support to tackle Dengue in Orissa

ANGUL:  Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) official Smt. Puspalata Satapathy, handed over the machines to the Angul, CDMO Mr. Rabindra Nath Behera at CDMO office in Angul on Monday.

JSPLIt has reported that these Hymatic machines are to be used to spray Anti-Larva both inside and outside the households in the district to prevent the breeding and spreading of Aedes mosquitoes in the locality.

Keeping in view the seriousness of the rapidly spreading dengue fever in the district, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL), as a responsible corporate partner has partnered with the District Health Department and offered 20 numbers of Hymatic Anti-Larva Spraying Machine to the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) for prevention and control of the disease.

Each Hymatic machine is having 16 liters of medicinal liquid carrying capacity with an average working pressure of 300 KPa and minimum discharge rate of 500 ml/min.

Mrs. Satapathy said “as advised by district administration we have completed fogging in 91 villages and shall continue discharging our social responsibility to tackle dengue menace in partnership with District Administration as a socially responsible Corporate Partner of the Government.

JSPL along with the district administration has also taken up the fogging of mosquito repellent smokes and anti-larva treatment in the KalamChhuin and Talcher areas.
