Mr. Mehul Choksi is Chairman and Managing Director, Gitanjali Group, one of India’s largest integrated diamond and jewellery manufacturer-retailers and a leading name in the global gem and jewellery industry.

He pioneered the development of branded jewellery in India launching Gili in 1994, and since then has developed a large portfolio of renowned jewellery brands in India. Under him the group has expanded to international markets including USA, Middle East and China through acquisitions and tie-ups.

Mr. Choksi is now spearheading the group into the luxury lifestyle segment and the development of sector specific SEZs for the manufacturing of high end jewellery.

Mr. Choksi is also the Chairman of the FICCI Gems & Jewellery Committee and a Member of The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council’s (GJEPC) Diamond Panel Committee.

Established in 1966, Gitanjali Group is India’s largest integrated diamond and jewellery manufacturer-retailers and a leading name in the global gem and jewellery industry. The group integrates all operations, from rough diamond sourcing, cutting, polishing and distribution, and jewellery manufacture, to jewellery branding and retail, as well as global lifestyle brands, in India and abroad.

The Group pioneered jewellery retail revolution in India by launching Gili way back in 1994. Over the last two decades, it has expanded operations in USA, UK, Belgium, Italy and the Middle East to Thailand, South East Asia China, and Japan.

Gitanjali group has now forayed into setting up a number of sector specific Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
