Balco Starts Plantation Drive in Korba

KORBA (CHHATTISGARH): Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) conducted a tree plantation drive in Korba. The tree plantation drive is a part of the Chhattisgarh Govt’s “Hariyar Chhattisgarh” project. In Participation with district administration and local public about 20 thousand plants are being planted at various locations.

The saplings included Sagaun in large area are expected to grow in three years.

On 23 September Korba collector Mr. Rajpal Singh Tyagi officially launched  tree plantation drive of Balco.

BALCO is very committed towards Industrial environment, health and safety norms, company said in the statement. According to the statement, 50,000 trees planted in the various  road routes. Religious, social and educational organizations, students citizens helped to make drive successful. Balco has also started “Project Greener Balco” in which 1 lakh 50 thousand trees in Kabirdhama and 1 lakh 30 thousand  trees in Mainpat were planted.
