NEW DELHI: One of the key drivers for Corporate Social Responsibility is reputation building and one of the biggest trends in CSR is reporting and communication. But how can an organization ensure that its marketing and public relations efforts on CSR add credibility and build trust, and are not just perceived as ‘greenwash’ or ‘spin’?
This workshop by Dr. Wayne Visser (Founder & Director, CSR International) on 21st April, 2010 in New Delhi is part of a 30 country ‘CSR Quest’ World Tour by Dr.Wayne, to share best practices in corporate sustainability and responsibility. The workshop will cover how ethical marketing and cause-related marketing can improve sales, what makes a good CSR report and how to plan an effective public relations social campaign. It is aimed at professionals with a focus on CSR, public relations, corporate affairs, marketing and community relations.
Wayne Visser is Founder and Director of the think-tank CSR International and the author/editor of nine books, including seven on the role of business in society, the most recent of which are The Top 50 Sustainability Books, Landmarks for Sustainability and The A to Z of Corporate Social Responsibility. Forthcoming books in 2010 include The World Guide to Corporate Social Responsibility and The Age of Responsibility.
In addition, Wayne is Senior Associate at the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, where he is contributing to various research and teaching programmes and where he previously held the position of Research Director.
Before getting his PhD in Corporate Social Responsibility (Nottingham University, UK), Wayne was Director of Sustainability Services for KPMG and Strategy Analyst for Cap Gemini in South Africa.
His other qualifications include an MSc in Human Ecology (Edinburgh University, UK) and a Bachelor of Business Science with Honours in Marketing (Cape Town University, South Africa).
Wayne lives in Cambridge, UK, and enjoys art, writing poetry, spending time outdoors and travelling in his home continent of Africa.
