VISAKHAPATNAM: Mr Beni Prasad Verma, Minister of Steel at the foundation stone laying ceremony of an Industrial Training Institute at Barabanki said that “Our efforts at enhancing socio-economic development and improving standard of living of the people will start bearing fruit and soon.” Foundation stone laying ceremony held at Barabanki on 13 December 2011 .
Mr Verma said that Appreciating the various initiatives taken by RINL especially construction of Industrial Training Institutes taken up by RINL at Barabanki, UP under its Corporate Social Responsibility.
He added that “This ITI will provide opportunity for local youth to pursue technical courses and help in developing skilled manpower. The ITIs will train 100 to 150 students each year in trades like Fitter, Welder, Electrician and Computer Hardware.
Mr A.P. Choudhary CMD of RINL said that RINL is always committed for development and improving standard of living. ITIs are the best educational institutes in making and developing skilled manpower he added. He also said that RINL is always in forefront in promoting quality education and construction of ITI buildings in UP is one such step.
The minister of steel also laid foundation stones for a Bridge at Kamauli Nala, Dariyabad and two community centers in the same district being taken up by SAIL and NMDC. The Minister of Steel also announced setting up of Steel Processing Units at Hardoi, Jhansi, Mirzapur, Gonda, Barabanki and Lakhimpur Kheri. Besides, he also mentioned that if necessary mining clearances are received a steel plant would come up at Lalitpur.
Mr Verma also lauded the efforts by steel PSUs for the revival of erstwhile Malvika Steel.
Speaking about the development efforts he said that the initiatives are in line with the governments’ philosophy of providing basic facilities to the Aam Aadmi and will go a long in enabling Uttar Pradesh to become the best states of the country.
Also present on the occasion were chief executives of PSUs like SAIL, RINL, NMDC and MSTC. Other officers from the PSUs along with local representatives, youth and public at large were also present on the occasion.
