RAIPUR: Sree Narayana Guru Sandesh Samiti, Raipur celebrated the Republic Day in a different way. With the help of Red Cross and other organisations and experts, the Samiti organised a blood donation and free health check up camp to celebrate the Republic Day, Chairman of Sree Narayana Sandesh Samiti, Shankar Nagar, Dr M Sudhish said.
About 100 people participated in the free health check up and about 41 donated blood on that occasion, a Samiti release said. Besides Red Cross, Suresh Pathology Lab, Tilda, Dentist Dr Archana Pillai, Homoeopath Dr Anita Jain, Acupressure Specialist Dr Harischandra Doe, Dr Dharmveer Baghel, Dr G S Kshatriya also participated in the free health camp.
Appreciating the move, Avadh Vihari Dubey of Red Cross said people should continue with such type of social works, according to the release. Samiti Secretary V G Sashikumar thanked the people for their active participation in the programme.
