MUMBAI: On 13 August EMCO Foundation (EF) under education project Yashasvi, felicitated 25 students of Thane Municipal School with cash reward and appreciation certificate for the impeccable performance in the SSC 2012 examination. These students are enrolled for getting scholarship from EF till graduation.
The function was held at Thane Municipal Corporation head quarter in the presence of L. R. Gupta Additional Commissioner TMC, Ms. Meenakshi Jain Trustee of EMCO Foundation, Mr. Manish Joshi Education in charge TMC, and EMCO Foundation Managing Trustee Mr Ramaswamy.
It was fifth year that EMCO Foundation is giving scholarship to these poor students to ensure that they continue their education. From its inception till date 212 school students were given scholarship and the first batch of Yashasvi scholars will graduate in June 2013
Mr. Gupta highly appreciated the initiative of EMCO Foundation for the students of TMC School. He said education is must to become good human being and successful in life. He asked students to continue their education with passion and become a god citizen of the nation. He added that only marks are not important but having good knowledge is very important. He thanked EMCO for supporting these students and assured all cooperation from TMC in such a good work.
Mr. Manish Joshi congratulated all students for success in SSC exam and appreciated school HMs, teachers and EF for their contribution in this success. He asked students to keep goal high in life and make continuous efforts to achieve it without failure. He appreciated EF work for these needy students and extended required support in continuing the work for noble cause
A 2011 batch topper student Ms. Manisha Jankar shared her experience with EF projects and how they made great impact on her life; she thanked TMC and EF for giving right direction and support in continuing her education. Guiding students she said not to be afraid for anything and be proud to say that we are from municipal schools and confidently approach college education. There will be setbacks but pursue with confidence and efforts and you will succeed.
TMC education department staffs, school HMs, teachers, parents of students, EMCO employees, and volunteers were present for the event.
EMCO Foundation Managing Trustee Mr. Ramaswamy shared about the different programs implemented by EMCO Foundation with an objective of Transforming Lives of People.
