NEW DELHI : MIW Foundation, Registered Public Charitable Trust and one of leading NGOs in Delhi and NCR , recently Conducted HIV/AIDS, Tobacco, waterborne Diseases, Dengue & Malaria Awareness camp at Tihar jail with support of Larsen & Toubro Limited recently.
The objective of the programme was to create awareness about Diseases How it spread, possible causes and consequences, prevention of the diseases and other ill effects associated with the diseases. Awareness program was aimed at spreading the information about diseases and enlighten prisoners on the ill effects of this disease. Educational materials were also provided to the Prisoners in the awareness camp.
Ashish Bhutani, Managing Trustee, MIW Foundation said that MIW Foundation is conducting awareness programme amongst various communities like workers, labourers, socially weaker sections of society as these communities are prone to more risk to contract this dreaded disease because of poverty, illiteracy and lack of awareness about this dreaded disease.
He stressed upon the need for NGOs to take this noble cause amongst people and especially amongst weaker sections of society who are deprived of information on this dreaded disease.
He praised about MIW Foundation’s relentless efforts for spreading information about this diseases amongst the masses.
He further stated that MIW Foundation is committed to such noble cause and shall keep on conducting awareness programs for the welfare of people and our society.
