BILASPUR (Chhattisgarh): NTPC-Sipat the largest power station of Chhattisgarh has taken the initiative to empower the unemployed youth through self employment and skilled development by computer training programme. Under this initiative 60 youth (30 boys and 30 girls) of project affected villages are being trained one year Diploma in Compouter Application (DCA) since 10 April 2014.
Training is imparted through NICETEK, Bilaspur. The course is affiliated to Maharshi University of Management and Technology, Bilaspur. The course curriculum is prepared to meet the market need and develop the employability of youth, so that they can be absorbed in the industry or make their own business for self employment.
The one year course curriculum will provide basic computer knowledge, programming, DTP & computer maintenance so that the trainees can do word processing and data processing job easily. Addressing all the trainees on the inauguration programme, Y V Rao, Executive Director, NTPC-Sipat, lauded NTPC’s effort for development of socio-economic condition of the affected villages. This is the age of Information Technology (IT) and we need to accept the advancement of technology so that we can maintain our pace with age.
There are a lots of employment opportunity in the IT sector, we need to explore and grab it. The course is designed in line with Chief Minister Kaushal Vikas Programme. After successful completion all the trainees will be proved DCA degree certificate. Shri Rao distributed study materials and wish all a bright future.
