NEW DELHI: Viviana mall in association with XRCVC (Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged) recently inaugurated its first Computer Knowledge Centre for the visually impaired on 27th June’ 2015 at the Mall.
With this endeavour, Viviana became the first Indian mall to open a Computer Knowledge Center for the visually impaired. The resource center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and also offers training facilities for the visually impaired. This advocacy center focuses on the holistic development of the visually challenged, supporting them to lead an independent life without any limitations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashwin Sheth, Managing Director, Sheth Developers & Realtors (India). said “It makes us proud to be part of such a unique endeavour, becoming first mall to offer an advanced computer knowledge center for visually impaired.
The core idea of this endeavor is to help visually impaired person to lead a better life and get acquainted with the technology solutions. We will definitely make sure that the resource center offers aide to each and every person deprived of vision, thus enhancing their experience at the mall”
Apart from the resource center, Viviana Mall has also launched various accessibility solutions for the visually impaired such as audio tactile-labelling systems, audio-tactile floor plans and audio-tactile/accessible menu cards at all its retail outlets in Viviana Mall helping them to provide a complete mall and shopping experience.
